I wonder if there is a business idea in liquidating books & products which are sitting in garages.

Since so many markets exist it seems with a little tweaking, people should be able to sell almost any type of booklet to "someone".

Maybe your friend likes the process of developing products, but needs someone else to do the marketing.

I would think this would be a great business idea.
A website where people can list what bulk items they have sitting in their garages and bid for someone else to buy and market them.
