That's an interesting idea - I'm sure it could work...!!!

Actually, it kind of reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld. As I recall, George finds that - as soon as he's engaged - a lot of incredibly single women want him. But when he's single again - nobody wants him at all!

It's the "scarcity principle" at work (as one of the web pages you linked to points out - they call it "Limited Resources - Women want what they can't have")!

This is also why someone who seems "desperate" comes across as unattractive. If they're so "easy" to get, then they're not "scarce" - and hence less desirable. It seems paradoxical (or so I thought as I was growing up) - yet when you understand the principle of scarcity, it makes sense!
