Some of you may already know how to do this... But there are some who may not.
Did you know that you can easily search through all your issues of The Great Ideas Letter? This can be handy, for example, to find an article you know you've read, but can't remember which issue it was in.
If you want to search through your issues - put them all in one directory on your computer.
Then, make sure you are running Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6.0. If you are running an older version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, be sure to get version 6.0 from here (it's free) -
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.htmlThe reason why you need version 6.0 is that searching through multiple documents is not supported in earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Now, just open one of your Great Ideas Letter files using Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0. Then click on the "Search" button near the top. Type in your search term, then select the button which says "All PDF Documents in". Then from the drop-down menu, select the directory where you've put all your copies of The Great Ideas Letter.
Then, click on the "Search" button on the right side to perform your search.
This way, you can search through all your issues of The Great Ideas Letter all at once!
This is a great tool if you've remembered reading about an idea, but can't remember where you saw it. This way, you can search through all your issues of The Great Ideas Letter for key words or phrases, to find the article you're looking for. (I use this all the time.)
I hope that this helps some readers get more out of their issues! :)
