Your analysis is more or less correct. I do see what you mean by breaking down the various things I am trained to do as a nurse. One area which popped into my head which I saw back when I managed an Assisted Living facility. Not everyone with diabetes is capable of accurately measuring their blood glucose levels, drawing up insulin in a syringe and administering it. We had one woman who was paying an agency $100 a day to come in daily and do this for her. I had forgotten all about that. Thanks for jogging my memory.
And thanks, too, to Skip for pointing out the obvious.
BTW, carbolizing is pretty much an Australian term, although I Googled it & saw one reference to it by a Canadian nurse(who said it isn't done anymore). It wasn't even in my medical dictionary.
