Nursing gives you the TIME to devote to other things. Those other things you want/need to do because nursing doesn't cover your current expenses and leave you with enough left over for you to feel ok.
This doesn't necessarily means the Other Thing has to be nursing does it? Thought because nursing is a skill you have you think you need to lean that way to make the extra money... but it isn't a requirement that nursing is the other way to make money.
Is that about right?
When I mentioned Bed Carbolising (I assume you know what this means and that it is not just an Australian nursing term), I was "breaking it down".
There are LOTS of things that nurses do. Carbolising is one of them. What other single things do you do which go up to make your profession.
Each of those single items may be able to have a small p/t business created around them.
Who knows... maybe there will be people out there who would pay you to teach them how to do hospital corners.
