Thank you for sharing your link.
What an interesting website/service.
This is the kind of info. us entrepreneur's really need to try to keep on top of. Of course, we shouldn't just accept what they say without question. For often, different markets are really existing markets just called something different. So it gives the impression of a new niche when it really isn't. And is, instead, a new name created by a company for that market.
E.g. The Male Grooming Salons because men are "now" spending more time on their appearance.
This "metrosexual" trend thing is not new. It is as old as the hills. Many men do like to look good all the time. The niche is not a new discovery.
What is new is that it is being labelled so a company can cater specifically to that label.
What I would say is more of a trned with this example is that companies are openning stores devoted to it.
Which also isn't new in and off itself. But that a big deal is being made - together with a branding effort. Now THAT is new.
Good read nonetheless.
