Thanks for bringing up shredding.

We wrote about this in the April 23, 2003 issue of The Great Ideas Letter. And came up with the idea for the same reason... there was no real way for private citizens to maintain their privacy and dispose of documents.

We know one business that shreds everything and then uses those shreds in their business. They make caskets. And the shredded paper becomes the liner stuffing that makes the lining look puffy. Not all the lining is made from their shreddings. They still buy stuffing in. BUt it is a way for them to dispose of something in a secure way :o)

I think a monthly route could do well. As long as it is priced well. Or, as you said, shredding a year's worth of stuff in one go.
